☛ Overview

☞ VITALS: Cis woman, human with occasional temporary xenobiological body mods, 28, mixed western-european heritage. Polite honorific is "Advocate" but will accept most gender-appropriate modes of address that are not openly insulting.
☞ ABOUT: Sonja comes from an alternate 1890s London where the city was ~~stolen~~ purchased by giant capitalist space bats in the 1860s and relocated to a vast subterranean cavern adjacent to Hell so a minor cosmic horror could study it in a millenia-long effort to figure out how love works. She personally descended to the Neath about ten years ago to study the nature of the soul and possibly bet her own at cards, fell in with devils, half-mad street urchins, and otherworldly beings with the faces of squid, and developed a keen interest in the forbidden language of the stars. She enjoys undermining both Hell and the Church, encouraging other people to make questionable life choices, uncovering things man was not meant to know, and socializing with tigers.

☛ First Impressions

☞ VISUAL: Pale complexion, heart-shaped face, large grey eyes. 5'2", compact build. Tendency toward dark circles under her eyes. Light brown curls, going prematurely silver, unceremoneously cropped to jaw-length or shorter, and slightly singed in a few places. Tattoo of a pistol-wielding rat on her upper right arm and her own name in ivy-covered script on her left hip (though both are usually covered by her clothing) and large dog-bite scar on her left forearm. Hands frequently bear small cuts, scrapes, burns, and inkspots. Her fashion sense is liberated for a woman from 1890s London but notably conservative by the standards of most other times and places. Calf-length skirts or longer with stockings and petticoats, and tops with modest necklines for casual wear, although she isn't adverse to wearing trousers for athletic or strenuous work. Dresses primarily in shades of blue, purple, and brown, and favors amber jewelry.
☞ AURAL: Soprano. Primarly speaks English in mixed company; her accent is late-Victorian upper-middle-class Londoner, with the occasional germanic shading to her pronunciation and frequent use of both academic terminology and slang terms and grammatical constructions that indicate considerable contact with the lower classes. Can put on a more refined dialect as well, but almost never chooses to.
☞ OLFACTORY: Good hygiene, no particular scented soaps or detergents. Occasionally faintly smells of burned hair.
☞ DEMEANOUR: Cheerful, alert, a little given to flamboyance. Often flirtatious. Slightly more eye contact than is really comfortable for most people.

☛ IC Permissions

☞ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Sonja is very receptive to physical affection. Her personal bubble is basically nonexistant. Generally she's a little more restrained in terms of initiating PDAs, but if you give her an inch she'll take a mile.
☞ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Honestly go for it? Talk to me if you want to seriously injure or kill her but seriously, fight the Inconvenient Advocate. She's stronger than she looks and pretty comfortable with hand-to-hand fighting; she's also a little inclined to overconfidence and usually is operating in a setting where death is a temporary inconvenience.
☞ RELATIONSHIPS: Sonja's very casually polyamorous and pansexual, and is open to most encounters and arrangements between adults that don't require long-term monogamy on her part. Her kink list is here.
☞ PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: Lucid dreamer, and very used to outside influences intruding on her dreams; likely to be friendly unless the intruder behaves in an overtly threatening manner. Some esoteric knowledge Sonja possesses may pose a cognitive or physical hazard to the unprepared observer.
☞ MAGICAL INFORMATION: No inherent magical abilities. Some fluency in the Correspondence and to a lesser degree in various infernal languages, which with enough prep time can allow her to perform minor ritual magics at only mild risk of spontaneous combustion.
☞ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Sonja has... died, a lot, mostly due to sharp- or blunt-force trauma. She's lost track of how many times. Most of the scarring is not visible when she's dressed but her torso, and to a lesser extent her limbs, are pretty scarred up. Despite this, she's in fairly good physical shape, and none of the scarring actually seems to slow her down much.
☞ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Sonja may take exception to people making light of cruelty toward or exploitation of the disenfranchised, especially children. The theft or purchase of souls by force, extortion or trickery is a particular sore spot (although she has no particular issue with those who knowingly and voluntarily choose to sell theirs). Otherwise, she's very hard to shock or offend.
